Time is Running Out to Have Your Say!

Tuesday 17th September, 2019

There is just one week left to have your say in our county-wide broadband survey about the reliability and coverage of the county’s internet connections – and to be entered in a free prize draw to win an iPad. With last week’s news that the Connecting Devon and Somerset superfast broadband project has been even further delayed, it’s more important than ever for the Chamber to gather as much evidence as possible about the coverage and reliability of our Members’ broadband.

The survey, which is being carried out in partnership with ultra-fast broadband provider Truespeed, is open until Monday, 23 September. The findings will enable the Chamber to lobby for improvements and to help Members find solutions to their problems. It takes just minutes to complete. A third of those who have already responded have told us they experience daily drop-outs in their broadband service, while a quarter have problems simply sending or receiving emails.

Everyone who takes part will be entered into a free prize draw to win an iPad donated by Truespeed. Poor internet connections have long been highlighted as an issue by Chamber members and the survey will be used to help identify problem areas.

Please click here to complete the survey.

The full results of the survey will be officially presented at Somerset Chamber’s Digital Trends and Tech Innovation event at Strode College on Wednesday, 2 October, and we would welcome you to attend to find out more.
