Sedgemoor Chamber launches new Chamber Chat podcast

Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the launch of its new podcast, The Chamber Chat Podcast, giving members and the wider business community a new way to hear more about the Chamber’s work, local business issues and the people behind it all.

The first episode features Roger Smith, General Manager of Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce, and Matt Ruddle, Chair of the Board, in conversation about the Chamber’s mission to connect, promote and support the local business community.

In the episode, Roger and Matt reflect on the importance of community in business and the valuable role Chambers play in bringing businesses together, sharing opportunities and helping people feel part of something bigger. They also talk through the range of events the Chamber runs across the year, including the upcoming Somerset Business Expo in June.

The episode explores why the Expo has become such an important part of the Chamber calendar, what attendees can expect from the day and how the event continues to grow. Roger and Matt also discuss the Sedgemoor Business Awards, how the Chamber has outgrown its previous venue at The Canalside, and plans to expand the Awards in the future.

They also touch on one of the most rewarding parts of the Chamber’s work, continuing to discover businesses, stories and achievements in the local area that deserve to be seen and celebrated.

The Chamber hopes the new podcast will become another useful and engaging way for members to stay connected with the work of the organisation and the wider business community.
