Four free webinars to help Somerset businesses market smarter, plan better and start strong

Saturday 24th October, 2026

The Somerset Growth Hub is highlighting free live and on-demand sessions from the Government’s Business Academy, covering AI marketing, business planning and getting a business idea off the ground

Whether you’re looking to make your marketing go further or turn an idea into a viable business, four free webinars from the Government’s Business Academy offer practical help, and the Somerset Growth Hub is encouraging local businesses to take advantage.

Using AI to scale up your marketing

On Wednesday 4 November at 10am, a free live webinar will show how AI can streamline content creation, improve marketing efficiency and help develop campaigns that resonate with customers. Attendees will have the chance to put questions to specialists. A recording will be available afterwards for anyone who can’t make it.

Building a clear business plan

On Tuesday 24 November, from 12pm to 1pm, Building a business plan: Business planning tools is aimed at those starting or preparing to launch a business. It covers setting clear, realistic and measurable objectives, identifying risks and milestones, tracking progress and creating flexible plans.

Turning an idea into reality

Two further webinars are aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs and those in the early stages of self-employment. Turn your business idea into reality helps participants assess whether an idea can become a sustainable venture, while 4 steps to kick-start your venture offers practical guidance on the dos and don’ts of starting out, and the foundations needed for long-term success. The latter is also available on demand.

For busy business owners, free, flexible learning like this is a low-risk way to build skills and confidence without taking significant time away from the day job. To book, sign in or create a free Business Academy account, and explore the wider range of free on-demand videos available.

Businesses wanting tailored support can also contact the Somerset Growth Hub for free, impartial advice.
