Fully funded AI leadership training now available for senior managers and business owners

Monday 18th May, 2026

Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce is pleased to share a new fully funded training opportunity from Chamber member Pro Apprenticeships, designed to help senior managers and business owners build confidence around artificial intelligence and its role in their organisations.

Pro Apprenticeships is one of a small number of training providers approved by the Department for Work and Pensions to deliver 3 fully funded AI leadership units for leaders already making decisions about AI in their business.

These units are not technical courses. There is no coding, no data science and no requirement for prior technical knowledge. Instead, they are aimed at people in leadership and management roles who need to understand what AI means for their organisation and make informed decisions about how it is used.

The 3 units available are:

  • AI Strategy and Opportunity
  • AI Adoption, Procurement and Governance
  • AI Delivery and Organisational Transformation

Each unit runs for around 4 weeks and is independently funded, which means participants can choose to take 1, 2 or all 3, depending on what is most relevant to them right now.

According to Pro Apprenticeships, the cost is zero for the vast majority of SMEs and larger organisations, although eligibility requirements do apply and are assessed on a case by case basis.

The training is delivered online around a full time role and is designed to support leaders with practical issues such as identifying where AI can genuinely add value, evaluating tools and suppliers, putting governance in place, leading organisational change, planning for workforce impact and building a clear business case for AI investment.

The programme is aimed at people who are:

  • Aged 19 or over
  • Currently employed in a leadership or management role
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Have lived in the UK for the last 3 years

No previous AI or technical knowledge is required.

As a multi award winning, Ofsted Outstanding training provider, Pro Apprenticeships says these units are intended to give business leaders the knowledge and confidence to shape how AI works in their business in a practical, responsible way.
