Bridgwater Pantomime Society calls on local businesses to sponsor its 70th anniversary production of Cinderella

Friday 24th July, 2026

Bridgwater Pantomime Society is inviting local businesses to get behind its landmark 2027 season, as the amateur theatre group prepares to celebrate 70 years of pantomime in the town with a production of Cinderella. Formed in 1957, with its first production staged in 1958, the Society has been a fixture of Bridgwater’s community life for seven decades, and its anniversary season is now looking for sponsors to help bring the milestone production to the stage.

Why sponsorship matters

The Society receives no public funding, so its productions rely entirely on ticket sales and the support of local businesses and the community. Sponsorship income goes directly towards essential production costs, including costumes, sets, venue hire and technical equipment, helping the Society keep ticket prices accessible while maintaining the quality of its performances.

For local businesses, it’s also a chance to raise their profile at a reasonable cost while backing something that matters to the community. Bridgwater Pantomime Society brings together people of all ages and backgrounds, offering opportunities for artistic expression and unforgettable live performances that audiences look forward to year after year. A sponsorship is a visible, low-cost way for a business to show it values what’s happening on its own doorstep.

Sponsorship packages available

Three sponsorship tiers are on offer for the anniversary season, alongside advertising-only options for businesses that aren’t ready to commit to full sponsorship.

Bronze Sponsor, £250: includes a colour advertisement in the programme for all performances, company logo listed on the Society’s website and social media with a link to your site, and acknowledgement in the programme and on social media.

Silver Sponsor, £500: includes a full-page colour advertisement in the programme, 20 seats in the stalls for a single performance with thanks given during audience participation, company logo listed on the Society’s website and social media with a link, acknowledgement in the programme and on social media, and the opportunity to provide promotional materials at the performance where you have seats.

Gold Sponsor, £750: the top tier includes a full-page advertisement in the programme, acknowledgement on the Society’s website and social media with a link plus mentions in press releases, promotional materials distributed at every performance of the run, the front two rows of the balcony for an evening performance (31 tickets based on the current seating plan), acknowledgement in the programme and on social media, access to the bar after the show, and an exclusive meet-and-greet with the cast, subject to availability.

Businesses not ready to sponsor can also advertise in the programme only, with rates from £50 for a quarter page up to £100 for a full page, all printed in full colour.

Get involved

With a milestone anniversary season and a much-loved production of Cinderella ahead, this is a timely opportunity for local businesses to put their name behind a piece of Bridgwater’s community heritage.
