Somerset employers invited to Yeovil event on inclusive recruitment

Monday 18th May, 2026

Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce is pleased to share a free event from Connect to Work Somerset that could be of real interest to local employers looking to strengthen their teams and widen their recruitment approach.

Unlock the Power of Inclusive Recruitment will take place on Thursday 9 July from 9am to 12pm at Yeovil Town Football Club, Brympton d’Evercy.

The event is aimed at HR leaders, hiring managers and business owners who want to better understand how inclusive recruitment can help them connect with a wider range of talent across Somerset.

The session is built around a simple message: Somerset is full of talented people who are ready to step into work with the right support. The event will bring local employers together over coffee to explore how businesses can recruit more effectively, unlock potential and create stronger teams.

Organisers say that thousands of individuals across Somerset are eager to work and bring value to employers, and the event is designed to help businesses tap into that opportunity in a practical and positive way.

For employers, this is a chance to:

  • Think differently about recruitment
  • Explore how inclusive hiring can support business growth
  • Connect with others who are looking to strengthen their workforce
  • Better understand the value of widening access to work

Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce is encouraging members who are recruiting, growing their teams or reviewing how they attract and support staff to take a look.
