Sedgemoor Chamber unveils Somerset Business Expo with major expansion for 2026

Monday 19th January, 2026

Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce plans for the Somerset Business Expo 2026, a significantly expanded version of its flagship Business Expo, set to take place on the 12th of June 2026 at Junction 24 near Bridgwater.

For 2026, the Expo will move into a larger venue and increase capacity to more than 80 exhibition stands, more than doubling the number of exhibitors able to take part compared with recent years. The ambition is clear, to create one of the biggest dates in the Somerset business calendar, bringing together organisations from across the county under one roof.

The Somerset Business Expo will be a full day of connecting, learning and showcasing. Alongside exhibition stands, the event will feature practical workshops, panel discussions and free business support sessions delivered by local specialists. The focus is on giving Somerset businesses a platform where they can be seen, make new connections and encourage more people to discover and use local suppliers.

The Expo continues to grow year after year, and 2026 marks our most ambitious event yet. We thank our previous hosts at The Canalside for their previous support as we build on three successful years of innovation, collaboration, and business engagement, so moving to a larger venue allows us to welcome even more exhibitors and industry sectors. Whether you’re looking to showcase your business, connect with new partners, or explore the latest developments across Somerset’s thriving economy, the 2026 Expo promises to be our biggest and most impactful event so far.

Roger Smith, the GM of the Chamber

This new format builds on the success of previous years. The Expo began in 2023 as the Bridgwater Business Expo, before becoming the Sedgemoor Business Expo following the Chamber’s rebrand. In 2025, the event at The Canalside in Bridgwater welcomed more than 30 exhibitors, a busy exhibition hall and a full programme of workshops, panel discussions and one to one support. Each year the energy, confidence and ambition of local businesses has grown, and the move to a Somerset wide Expo at Junction 24 is the next step in that journey.

This is an incredibly exciting time and bringing this event to life is right at our core of helping businesses first and foremost. So expanding our successful expo, which has grown over the last couple of years, and now we get to put on a much bigger, much needed event like this, bringing businesses from all over Somerset and beyond together to connect, promote and support. We are looking forward to working with other chambers from across the county, as well as the councils, MPs from all parties to put on this flagship event and bring people and businesses together.

Matthew Ruddle, The Chair of the Chamber

Further details about the 2026 programme, including sponsorship opportunities and how to apply for an exhibition stand, will be shared in the coming weeks.

Businesses who would like to stay up to date can visit the events section of sedgemoorchamber.co.uk and RSVP to receive updates about the Somerset Business Expo 2026, including when stand bookings and sponsorship packages go live.
