Latest edition of Sedgemoor InBusiness magazine shines a spotlight on local business insights and Chamber activity

Wednesday 26th November, 2025

Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce is pleased to share that the latest edition of Sedgemoor InBusiness, the official Sedgemoor Chamber magazine, is now available. Edition 7, November 2025, brings together news from around the Chamber with practical articles from local organisations and business experts. It is a place to find out what is happening across the Chamber, how to get involved, and to keep up with the latest business insights.

The magazine features a number of expert led articles from member organisations and partners. Young Somerset contributes “Supporting Young People’s Mental Health in the Workplace: How Local Employers Can Make a Difference”, which sets out why early understanding from employers matters and offers practical ways to support young team members, including normalising conversations about mental health, offering flexible approaches, signposting to local support, and investing in training.

Readers can explore “How to Make Every Chamber Event Count”, an article that shares tips for getting better results from networking events. It highlights the value of coming with curiosity, making introductions memorable, using the Chamber team as connectors, following up quickly after conversations, and building visibility through regular attendance.

In “Where is AI in Your Business”, QSS explores the rapid growth of artificial intelligence in everyday tools, the risks this can create for data and cyber security, and some quick steps businesses can take to reduce AI related risks. “Making Tax Digital: Why You Must Act Now”, from Maxwells Chartered Accountants, explains the move to Making Tax Digital, the timelines for different types of business, and why early preparation using compliant software is important. Pardoes Solicitors share “Top Tips for Speeding Up Your Property Sale or Purchase”, outlining practical steps such as getting documents ready early, staying in regular contact, choosing the right professionals, avoiding chains where possible, and watching the impact of the Autumn Budget.

Together, these features make Sedgemoor InBusiness a useful resource for anyone who wants to understand what is happening in the Chamber, see how local organisations are working in the community, and pick up practical guidance on topics ranging from mental health and technology to property and tax.
