Celebrating local success Sedgemoor honours its 2025 award winners

Tuesday 25th November, 2025

Businesses from across the region came together for an evening of celebration and recognition at this year’s Sedgemoor Business Excellence Awards, where local organisations of all sizes were honoured for their hard work, resilience and innovation.

Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce was delighted to be supported by event sponsors Walpole Dunn, MMES and Gravity, whose backing helps to deliver the awards, together with Maxwells Chartered Accountants who sponsored the VIP reception and all the award categories sponsors. The Chamber was also honoured to welcome Brigadier Nigel Beacom QVRM TD VR DL, Deputy Lieutenant, attending on behalf of the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset, who joined in celebrating this year’s finalists and winners.

This year was the busiest to date, with more than 130 entries across all categories. The standard was exceptionally high and reflects the strength and diversity of Sedgemoor’s business community.

From start ups and family firms to long established employers, every finalist demonstrated something outstanding, whether that was growth, community impact, customer service, sustainability or leadership. Being shortlisted this year was an achievement, and every finalist should feel incredibly proud of what they have accomplished.

These awards really are the jewel in the Chamber’s crown, and this year was no exception, with more than 240 people coming together to celebrate our incredible local business community. Congratulations to all our finalists and winners.

We look forward to continuing our work to connect, promote and support business, helping to ensure a thriving local economy.

Roger Smith, General Manager of Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce

Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce is always keen to welcome new businesses into the awards. Businesses that did not enter this year are strongly encouraged to consider it next time. Whether a sole trader, a growing small business or a larger employer, there is a category that can help showcase their story and put their achievements in front of the community.
