BUCST Announces Continued Partnership with SASP to Deliver FREE Holiday Camps

Tuesday 28th January, 2025

Bridgwater United Community Sports Trust (BUCST) is delighted to announce the continuation of our valuable partnership with Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership (SASP), enabling us to provide FREE spaces for children eligible for Free School Meals at our Saturday and February half-term camps.

Held at Fairfax Park Stadium, these camps offer an exciting and inclusive experience, featuring multisport activities, creative crafts, lunch, and even behind-the-scenes stadium tours! With the ongoing cost of living crisis, we’re proud to support our local community by keeping young people active, engaged, and socially connected during school holidays.

Our Saturday camps have already seen returning participants, a fantastic sign of their popularity and impact. Last week, the campers were thrilled to meet First Team Manager and newly appointed Trustee, Craig Laird. In a Q&A-style session, they hung out with Craig in the Clubhouse, asking questions and enjoying his insights. To top it off, Craig signed Bridgwater United shirts for each camper, leaving them buzzing with excitement and memories they won’t soon forget.

Over the past three years, we’ve seen a growing need for this support, and thanks to SASP’s funding and collaboration, we can expand our reach to even more families. Together, we’re ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive, stay active, and make lasting memories in a safe, fun environment.
