Chamber’s ‘Meet the Charity’ Series Debuts with Brainwave

Wednesday 13th March, 2024

Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the successful launch of its “Meet the Charity” series, kicking off with its first event on the 12th of March with Brainwave. The event was part of a new series designed to enhance the connections between businesses and the charity sector by spotlighting the essential work that charities do.

It provides these organisations with a stage to present their stories, missions, and achievements, demonstrating their significant impact. This initiative not only heightens awareness of the charities’ contributions but also encourages business engagement.

Brainwave is a dedicated charity focused on helping children with disabilities and additional needs gain more independence. Their approach includes enhancing mobility, communication, and learning through specialist therapies. The charity offers tailored therapy programmes, involving families in the process to ensure therapies are effective at home. Brainwave supports a wide range of conditions, including cerebral palsy and autism, and provides comprehensive assessments to tailor their support to each child’s unique needs.

Throughout the event day, Brainwave offered not just insightful tours of their facilities but also shared success stories of children they’ve supported.

A huge thank you to the team at Brainwave for their warm welcome and to Westcotts for their sponsorship support and for picking Brainwave as their Charity of the Year. We encourage everyone to support Brainwave either by participating in their events or through fundraising efforts.

Looking to deepen your involvement with local charities and inspire your team through community engagement? Join us at our upcoming ‘Meet the Charity’ events to connect, contribute, and create a positive impact together.
