The Sedgemoor Business Expo returned to The Canalside, Bridgwater, on Friday the 13th of June, drawing a strong turnout and delivering its most ambitious programme to date. The annual event brought together more than 30 exhibitors and a packed audience of professionals from across the region.
This year’s Expo was the first held under the Chamber’s new name, marking an exciting new chapter in the organisation’s evolution. The day began with a well-attended networking breakfast, featuring a live update from Nick Cooper (Agratas) and Kerry Cruden (Sir Robert McAlpine) on the progress of the landmark Gravity battery cell project. Their insights set the tone for a day focused on innovation, collaboration and opportunity.
Attendees explored a vibrant exhibition hall filled with local businesses representing sectors from tech and marketing to construction, training, finance and beyond. The Expo also offered a rich line-up of free workshops across three themed zones: Sustainable, Growth and Digital. Along with dedicated 1-to-1 Business Support Pods. Topics ranged from using AI to streamline operations, to building stronger brands, improving recruitment, and adopting greener business practices.
We’re incredibly proud of what this year’s Expo achieved,” said Roger Smith, General Manager of Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce. “It was a real showcase of the talent, innovation and ambition that exists across our district.
The Chamber extended thanks to all sponsors, exhibitors, workshop hosts and supporters, with special recognition to DavMay Photography and Darren Honeywill for capturing the event, and to the Canalside team for their continued hospitality.
Planning for the 2026 Expo is already underway. Businesses and attendees are encouraged to RSVP for next years event.
