Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce hosted this year’s Sedgemoor Business Excellence Awards at The Canalside in Bridgwater on Friday 19th November.

Now in their 9th year the awards are a celebration of the very special and diverse local business community and this year was no different with 83 entries from a wide range of business sectors.

After 18 months where the world has changed forever, business owners have had to become more adaptable than ever to cope with the very different environment in which we now live, work and trade but the awards have shown that here in Sedgemoor we are in a great position to emerge stronger than ever and rightly proclaim that we are the Gateway to the South West.

Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce General Manager Roger Smith said

“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the finalists and particularly all of our amazing awards winners but I must thank all of our sponsors, including Main Sponsors Sedgemoor District Council and Pardoes, Event Sponsors Maxwells Chartered Accountants, Stokes Partners, Holiday Inn Express Bridgwater and Sansum Solutions Group and VIP Reception Sponsor ABL Complex Finance as well as all of our awards sponsors, without whom we could not hold this prestigious event.

The planning for next year’s event has already started so I would encourage all businesses to keep an eye on the Sedgemoor Apple for the launch of the applications”
