From Red to Blue – but no cause for sadness!

Tuesday 5th May, 2020

Red Berry Recruitment joined the HR GO family back in July last year and has now taken the next step to fully become part of the national HR GO Recruitment team. Helen Lacey, founder of Red Berry Recruitment, says she is proud of what her teams have been able to achieve since 2007, but is happy to embrace the future with the support of the HR GO Recruitment brand.

Helen says, “I first set up Red Berry Recruitment in 2007 and grew it to become one of the leading agencies in Somerset. Selling 51% of my company was a tough but right decision in 2019, as it gave us a platform on which to modernise and improve our services to both candidates and clients locally. Now we are ready to embrace a new future.

“With the challenges that COVID-19 is presenting to all of us, it makes sense for us to be able to join forces and help deliver the HR GO Recruitment national contracts for key workers, for example with the NHS and Royal Mail.

“The coronavirus is of course changing how we do business right now with the office empty and all of my team successfully working from home. Being a part of HR GO, with centralised IT support and access to national contracts for essential workers has made this transition much easier for us.

“Red Berry have always been and will continue to be, in the new guise of HR GO, an active and enthusiastic supporter of our local community. Whether it’s supporting local and national charities with fundraising, sponsoring clubs and events, or helping with careers days, we will as a group maintain the great presence and awareness that as Red Berry we achieved over the last 13 years. HR GO Recruitment are also great supporters of business and community, and strong believers in personal service, so instead of Red Berries supporting the local area we will be just as visible, but as blue berries!

“Obviously, in an ideal world, I would not have planned to re-brand in a global pandemic, but once we are back to a more normal work pattern, hopefully at the end of the summer, we will plan a proper launch celebration.”

For Cindy Hare, HR GO Recruitment MD, welcomed the extra branches in Shepton Mallet and Yeovil, “We have had a branch of HR GO Recruitment in Bridgwater for many years and recently opened a branch in Plymouth[RB1] . Our footprint in the South West is growing and we look forward to building our business further as the economy starts to revive.”
