Coronavirus Update for our Sedgemoor Business Excellence Awards

Thursday 12th March, 2020

12th March 2020

The Bridgwater Chamber policy is based around the world Health organisations guidelines as set out below. Unless told or advised not to by government of health departments, our Awards Ceremony will go ahead on condition it will be strictly a non- contact event, which means absolutely no handshakes or other forms of traditional greetings such as kissing. This is no way a slight on any bodies individual Hygiene, but we are merely acting on advice to make sure we take all possible precautions not to spread this flu type virus. We will have more sanitisers at the event.

Obviously if the advice from Health department or Government changes, we may need to postpone this event until main danger has passed. We would appreciate all participant’s patience and support re these circumstances being out of our hands. The awards have been judged, programmes going to print, venue booked, trophies ordered. This being the case and with all participants agreement we could postpone at same venue and not waste all of our preparation, but postpone to later date.  Please be patient and we keep you updated.
