Air filter company signs up to sponsor Wembdon Junior Youth U15s

Wednesday 19th October, 2022

Press release

A FAMILY-RUN air filter manufacturing company in Bridgwater has recently (October 2022) signed up to become sponsors of the Wembdon Junior Youth under 15s team.

Jasun Envirocare on Parrett Way will be sponsoring the team for the 2022/23 season and its logo will appear on the team kits.

Colin Hitch, Managing Director of Jasun Envirocare, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring Wembdon Junior Youth U15 Dragons. We first established ourselves in Bridgwater in 1987 and have made it our business’ HQ and feel very at home here, so we were more than happy to sponsor the team and do our bit in the community. It is so important to encourage youngsters in sport and one of our staff member’s sons plays for the team, making the sponsorship extra special.”

The Wembdon Junior Youth U15 Dragons are currently third from top in the table in the Taunton Youth League U15 division two.

Wembdon U15s Manager, Julian Meynell, said: “I would like to thank everybody at Jasun for sponsoring and supporting our club.

“Our club is a great supporter of inclusion and personal development through football and Jasun has given the team a new kit, which they all love. It’s great to get local support from a family run business such as Jasun and we are all proud to be associated with them.”

Wembdon FC was affiliated to the Somerset FA in 1998 and entered into its first youth league.

It has 250 players spread across 15 teams, training and playing for the club, including three youth girl teams. It has 30 level one qualified coaches with three Level two coaches and two UEFA C level coaches.

In February 2019 Wembdon FC was awarded the Chartered Standard Development Club status. This acknowledges Wembdon FC meets all FA regulations and standards for a Youth Football Club in respect of organisation, child protection, safety, coaching and first aid.

Jasun Envirocare Plc was first established in London in 1972 by Mr Trevor and Mrs Barbara Foot and by the 1980s had moved to Billingshurst in West Sussex. This factory was destroyed by the great storm of 1987 and the company then moved to Bridgwater, where it has been for the last 35 years.

The company has a proud history and reputation as a provider of quality bespoke and standard filtration products and services.

It provides a ‘one-stop-shop’ for filter supply, distribution and installation to meet all commercial air hygiene and water treatment needs. It manufactures and supplies filter products that meet International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) and European (Eurovent) requirements.

Jasun Envirocare has grown to be one of the UK’s leading air filter manufacturers and prides itself on its family values. The name Jasun was created from the founder’s daughter’s names, Jane and Susan, taking the Ja from Jane’s name and the Su and n from both Susan and Jane. While the company is now onto its third generation of family members, its founding principles remain true.

The company employs more than 200 people and has factories and offices across Europe.
