A Fantastic Opportunity for Local Businesses to Invest in Their Teams

Tuesday 30th September, 2025

Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce is pleased to share an excellent opportunity for local businesses to enhance the skills of their workforce through upcoming Information and Guidance sessions on the Leadership and Management Apprenticeship Standards.

Delivered by University Centre Somerset College Group, these apprenticeships are supported by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and lead to CMI accreditation, with eligibility for Chartered Manager status at Level 5.

For businesses, this is a chance to invest in staff development and strengthen leadership capacity within teams:
  • Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship is ideal for supervisory or first-line managers, covering team leadership, project and resource management, and building strong workplace relationships.
  • Level 5 Operations Manager Apprenticeship develops advanced management skills, from operational planning and finance to leading teams through change, making it perfect for those managing larger functions within an organisation.

By supporting employees through these apprenticeships, businesses can empower staff to grow in confidence, take on greater responsibility, and deliver more effectively against organisational goals.

The Chamber encourages local employers to attend or nominate team members for the Information and Guidance sessions to see how these apprenticeships could benefit their workforce.

Session Dates:
  • Team Leader: 3rd October 2025 at 9:30am Join here | 23rd October 2025 at 9:30am Join here
  • Operations Manager: 3rd October 2025 at 10:30am Join here | 23rd October 2025 at 10:30am Join here

This is a real opportunity for businesses to invest in their people, strengthen leadership, and ensure teams are equipped for success in 2025 and beyond.
