Shop Sedgemoor banners

Friday 22nd October, 2021

Eagle-eyed residents will notice a wave of banners on lamp posts which are being put up this week.  As part of Sedgemoor District Council’s help for local shops and their customers affected by the pandemic, there will be colourful banners attached to lampposts in Highbridge, Burnham-on-Sea and Bridgwater reminding people to support their local shops and High Streets.    Research has shown that these colourful outdoor messages really remind people to shop local, bearing in mind Covid safety measures.

The remainder of the banners will be appearing in the next few days.   This initiative is being funded from the European Regional Development Fund via the Welcome Back Fund.
