SOMERLAP WELCOMES NEW STAFF MEMBERS

Monday 8th February, 2021

Somerlap’s continued success has seen it create 5 new job roles in recent months, with two staff joining this year.

Pallet Manufacturers Edgaras Gauba, Connor Pink and Joshua Kick started in the Autumn; alongside Curtis Bradshaw, who joined the shed and garden products team. Meanwhile Simon Bass (Retail team) began work in January this year.

Somerlap’s products have continued to be in high demand during the pandemic, with the 2 million pallets it produces, repairs and recycles every year, along with packing crates, needed to transport food and other supplies safely around the country and beyond. Its retail products are also available on a ‘click and collect’ basis, which has kept countless garden and DIY enthusiasts busy during the UK’s three lockdowns.

Kevin Bond, Managing Director of Somerlap, said, “We’re grateful to all our staff for the momentous efforts they have made during the pandemic. We are delighted that we have been able to offer employment to more people, and would like to welcome our new staff to the Somerlap family.”

Somerlap has been producing premium timber fencing, sheds, pallets and garden products for the general public and trade customers throughout South West England for 40 years. Somerlap garden products can be ordered online at www.somerlap.co.uk or over the telephone for a ‘click and collect’ service by appointment.
