Bristol Road roadworks due to start in January

Wednesday 2nd November, 2016

The EDF road junction improvements for the Bristol Road/Drove Road and Drove Road/Wylds Road junctions are due to start in January 2017 and are scheduled to last 29 weeks. Skanska, who are carrying out the works on behalf of EDF, have done extensive studies into the flow of traffic and believe that the one way system that will be in place is the best solution.

There will be no outbound traffic from Bridgwater between the Drove and Wylds Road turnings off Bristol Road, instead traffic will be diverted via The Drove and Wylds Road, Incoming traffic will be one way over this stretch and incoming traffic for Wylds Road will need to go to the Drove junction, as there will be no access to Wylds Road at the Matalan turning.
