Somerset businesses invited to showcase sustainability solutions to Hinkley Point C

Thursday 20th August, 2026

Somerset businesses with sustainability credentials are being invited to put themselves forward for a new review being carried out by Hinkley Point C’s Sustainability Forum, made up of representatives from the project’s major contractors. The Forum is currently assessing local companies that can offer new sustainability solutions for the project, opening up a genuine opportunity for businesses across the region to get in front of some of the biggest names in the industry.

What they’re looking for

The Forum is inviting organisations to share products, services or innovations that contribute to sustainability. This spans a wide range of capabilities, including low-carbon materials or construction methods, energy-efficient technologies, waste reduction and circular economy solutions, water conservation systems, biodiversity and environmental enhancements, digital tools that support sustainable design or delivery, and solutions that improve carbon tracking, reporting or reduction.

Given the breadth of that scope, this isn’t limited to specialist environmental firms. Businesses across construction, manufacturing, technology and professional services may all have relevant capabilities worth putting forward.

Why it’s worth getting involved

For local businesses, this is a chance to showcase their solutions directly to key industry stakeholders and increase their visibility among leading contractors already working on one of Europe’s largest construction projects. It’s also a chance to play a genuine role in supporting progress towards a more sustainable sector, at a project that continues to shape supply chain opportunity across the South West.

Get involved

Organisations with relevant capabilities are encouraged to get in touch with a short overview of their offering. It’s also worth ensuring your company is registered on the HPC Supply Chain portal, so you’re well positioned for this and any future opportunities linked to the project.
