Chamber appoints Honorary President

Tuesday 4th April, 2023

Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the appointment of Steve Leahy as its Honorary President.

As an esteemed member of the community and a respected business leader, Steve Leahy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Chamber of Commerce. He has served the Chamber for over 15 years and was an original founding member back in 2008.

In this role, Steve will provide guidance and support to the Chamber’s members, as well as help to promote the growth and development of local businesses.

Chair of the Chamber, Darren Horne said, “It is with delight that Steve has accepted this honorary role. Steve’s dedication to the Chamber and the Town over the years has been relentless”.

Steve expressed his gratitude for the appointment, saying “I am humbled by this recognition and committed to working with the Chamber of Commerce to help support local businesses and promote economic growth in our community.”

The Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce, founded by Mr Leahy in 2008, is a not-for-profit organisation that represents its business members interests within the Bridgwater and wider Sedgemoor area.

The Chamber is a voice for its members and provides the business community with a recognised conduit to get involved with promoting Bridgwater to inward investors and be taken seriously by public sector and larger organisations, so that members can fulfil more business opportunities locally.
