Puriton pupils earn Golden Leaf Awards thanks to Jasun Envirocare

Thursday 23rd February, 2023

PUPILS at Puriton Primary School near Bridgwater have received book vouchers for their good behaviour thanks to sponsorship by a family-run air filter manufacturing company in the town (February 2023).

Jasun Envirocare is funding the £10 book vouchers for the pupils as part of the school’s end of term Golden Leaf Awards for good behaviour and a positive approach to learning at school.

Colin Hitch, Managing Director of Jasun Envirocare on Parrett Way, said: “The Golden Leaf Awards are presented by the charity Friends of Puriton Primary School (FOPPS) to pupils for their good behaviour and, in our bid to do our bit in the community, we are working with the charity and helping to fund these awards, as we feel it’s extremely important for the children.

“We recently attended an assembly where they were presented with their book vouchers and certificates and I was thoroughly impressed with how well-behaved and enthusiastic everyone was.

“The children are encouraged to buy books with their vouchers as this links with the school’s vision to promote a life-long love of reading for all pupils.”

Puriton Primary School is situated in the village of Puriton, three miles north of Bridgwater. The school has approximately 200 pupils aged between four and 11.

Katie Williams, Head Teacher at Puriton Primary School, said: “Congratulations to our Golden Leaf Award winners for this term! They have consistently followed the ‘Golden Rules’ and been fantastic role models to their peers.

“We’d also like to say thank you again to Jasun Envirocare for their support and donations of a £10 book voucher for each of our winners.”

The company, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year and is a large employer in Bridgwater, has a proud history and reputation as a provider of quality bespoke and standard filtration products and services.

It provides a ‘one-stop-shop’ for filter supply, distribution and installation to meet all commercial air hygiene and water treatment needs. It manufactures and supplies filter products that meet International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) and European (Eurovent) requirements.

Jasun Envirocare has grown to be one of the UK’s leading air filter manufacturers and prides itself on its family values. While the company is now onto its third generation of family members, its founding principles remain true.

The company employs more than 200 people and has factories and offices across Europe.
