Haygrove School seeks local businesses to host Year 10 work experience placements this summer

Thursday 30th April, 2026

Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce is encouraging local businesses to consider hosting a Year 10 student from Haygrove School as part of this summer’s work experience week.

Haygrove School is supporting the final group of students still seeking placements for Monday, 29 June to Friday, 3 July and is asking whether members of the Chamber network can help.

Work experience plays an important role in helping young people gain confidence, understand the world of work and explore possible career paths. For employers, it can also be a valuable opportunity to support the next generation, showcase their sector and give a local student a positive first experience of the workplace.

Businesses of all sizes and sectors are encouraged to get in touch if they feel they may be able to offer a placement during that week.

Anyone interested in supporting a student can contact:

Careers Leader and Advisor

Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce is pleased to help share this request and would love to see more local employers getting involved to support young people in the area.
