Council Meetings set to resume

Monday 11th May, 2020

Council meetings in Sedgemoor are set to resume next week, following the Government granting councils temporary powers to hold virtual public meetings, using video or phone during the coronavirus pandemic.

The public and press are welcome to listen in and speak at meeting in line with the normal requirements for council meetings.  The public and press will need to pre-register with the Democratic Services Team (democratic.services@sedgemoor.gov.uk or  0300 303 7804) and provide a telephone number so they can join the virtual meeting.

The Leader of Sedgemoor District Council, Cllr Duncan McGinty said “with the new government powers in place the Council is now in a position to resume decision making with members ready to take part in the democratic process”

Details of forthcoming meetings and to view agendas and reports for our virtual meetings can be found on the Council’s website www.sedgemoor.gov.uk
