Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce Rebrands to Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce

Wednesday 9th April, 2025

The Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its official rebranding to Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce, effective 1st May 2025. This strategic change reflects the Chamber’s commitment to better represent the diversity and geographical scope of its membership and aligns with its ambitious growth plans.

The decision to rebrand comes as the Chamber continues to expand its reach and influence across the region. With members located from Cheddar to Wellington, spanning over 30 different sectors, including national and international businesses, the new name, Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce, captures this extensive reach and industry representation more accurately.

Matt Ruddle, Chairman of Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce, stated, “Our rebranding to Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce is a significant milestone in our journey. It reflects our dedication to connecting, promoting, and supporting our diverse business community. We believe this new identity will help us better serve our members and foster stronger connections across the region.”

The Chamber’s growth plans are ambitious, aiming to expand its membership from the current 228 members to 300 by the end of this year and 500 by 2027. This growth will strengthen connections and collaboration across the region and beyond, enhancing the Chamber’s ability to support its members effectively.

The Chamber’s current website domain will change to www.sedgemoorchamber.co.uk, and its social media accounts will also be amended accordingly. These changes will ensure that the Chamber’s online presence reflects its new identity and continues to provide valuable resources and information to its members.

The rebranding aligns with the Chamber’s core principles: Connect, Promote, and Support. These principles guide their efforts to foster meaningful connections, promote the interests of its members, and provide unwavering support to help businesses thrive. The Chamber remains committed to these principles and will continue to work tirelessly to support its members under the new name.

Roger Smith, General Manager of Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce, added, “We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter as Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce. Our new name better represents the breadth and diversity of our membership, and we are confident that it will help us achieve our growth goals and strengthen our community.”

In addition, we are pleased to confirm that our flagship event, the Bridgwater Business Expo, will also be rebranding to the Sedgemoor Business Expo. This update will further align our events with our new identity and reinforce our commitment to celebrating and supporting local enterprise in an ever-evolving business landscape.

The Chamber encourages all members and stakeholders to visit the new website at www.sedgemoorchamber.co.uk for more information and updates. The website will feature the latest news, events, and resources, ensuring that members stay informed and engaged with the Chamber’s activities.
