Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce – Gravity Key Speaker Event

Monday 11th November, 2019

Steve Leahy welcomed everyone to our long-awaited Gravity key speaker event delivered by Paul Lowndes. The number of local businesses attending showed the depth of interest in this amazing project. The event was held at the 37 Club on Monday, 28 October 2019; this is a thriving social club within the boundary of the Gravity Project. Paul Lowndes, Programme Director for This is Gravity, gave a brief biopic of the history of the former ROF site, which manufactured RDX explosives for the bouncing bomb.

The Salamanca Group purchased the site in 2017. They had a vision of building a forward-thinking sustainable, energy-efficient, and high-performing campus with a sense of community and found the perfect location here.

Gravity will become the UK’s leading Smart Campus for some of the world’s most innovative Clean Growth companies. Its tag line being “The Future Naturally.” If you are a local business and wish to register you interest in keeping up to date with progress of this site and any opportunities then please register here:
