Launch of New Local Paper – Somerset Apple

Tuesday 15th March, 2022

A NEW local paper is set to hit the streets on April 1 with the publication of the Somerset Apple.

The paper has evolved from the Sedgemoor Apple which last printed at the end of 2021 while still maintaining an online presence.

The new publication will continue to cover all the important issues in Sedgemoor but will widen its sweep to cover Taunton and West Somerset as well.

The new Apple will have a new look and be bigger and better than ever before, kicking off with 32 pages and a number of new features.

The editorial staff has also been beefed up, with photographer Kate Pearce joining the ranks along with author and former Fleet Street journalist Dave Phillips.

They join editor Jon Wills and multi award-winning designer Trevor Gehlcken in “providing unrivalled coverage of news, sport, the arts and any other topics of interest to the people of Somerset”.

The new website address is somersetapple.co.uk or email editor@somersetapple.co.uk
