S Roberts Group Launches New BoomBags to Meet Demand for Home & Garden Renovations!

Tuesday 15th February, 2022

A FAMILY-RUN waste management company from Somerset has launched a new product to meet growing demand for home and garden improvements and to provide added convenience for customers (February 2022).

S Roberts Group, which is based in Bridgwater, has created its new BoomBags in two sizes as an alternative to bulky skips for householders working in smaller spaces.

Beccy Roberts, Director of Waste Management, explains: “We’re very excited to launch our brand new BoomBags and to have them available now for hire via our online booking service.

“The pandemic has led to a surge in home and garden improvements as more and more people found they were spending greater time at home due to the restrictions and had available funds, as they weren’t dining out or holidaying, to get on with home refurbishments and renovations. We saw a gap in the market following the vast variety of large and small-scale projects that started happening in the first lockdown last year and this demand has continued throughout.

“What we were and are seeing is that people don’t necessarily need, or have, the space for a full-blown skip and wanted something smaller, more flexible and handier, but that essentially did the same job as a skip. Our bags are available in two sizes, the Midi and the Mega BoomBag, and they are designed to be smaller than typical skips and easier to fit into smaller gardens and spaces. They are highly durable and strong enough for all types of waste.”

The Midi BoomBag can hold up to one tonne of weight and measures (L) 90cm X (W) 90cm X (H) 90cm.

The Mega BoomBag can hold up to one and a half tonnes of weight and measures (L) 180cm X (W) 90cm X (H) 70cm.

Beccy continues: “We also want to provide convenience for both customers and contractors. Skips aren’t always the best solution in removing waste for small home improvements and the cost can quickly add up.

“In addition, organising waste removal can be quite a hectic part of the process and it’s essential to ensure a project runs smoothly, so with that in mind, we’ve also made it easier for customers to order and book their BoomBag online via our secure website.”

The BoomBags can be ordered via S Roberts Group’s easy-to-use online booking form here: www.srobertsandson.co.uk/get-a-quote/.

Beccy adds: “We also offer a next day service, as long as orders are placed before 12pm, excluding the weekends. We will then post the bag to you and when you are ready for it to be removed, you can either book a collection online or call us on 01278 457598. We will then aim to collect your bag within five working days from your request.”

S Roberts Group’s wealth of experience spans more than 90 years, which has led it to become one of the South West’s leading waste management companies, providing specialist industry and geographical knowledge to advise clients on the best possible waste solutions.

Based in Bridgwater, Somerset, the third-generation firm is run by Beccy and her sister Vicky, who took over the business from their father, Terry, in 2004.

The dedicated and friendly team work closely in partnership with clients to ensure health and safety standards are maintained and to deliver an efficient and environmentally conscious service.

The company offers skip, tipper and plant hire, bulk earth moving, recycled aggregates, asbestos removal and demolition services for domestic and commercial clients across the South West.

In 2006, it was the first demolition company in the Westcountry to launch a specialist and licensed asbestos removal service.

S Roberts Group holds its environmental considerations and solutions at the core of its business and adheres to these when advising and making decisions on the management of waste, resources, emissions and transport.
