By day, I’m Cluster Director of Sales for the ibis Bridgwater. Hospitality has always been my passion. Ever since my degree in Hotel and Catering Management at Sheffield Hallam, I’ve been lucky enough to build a career doing what I love. I started out as a receptionist before moving into management roles in independent hotels, then spent 13 incredible years at the University of Leicester, selling student accommodation as conference and event space. In 2015, I swapped the Midlands for the South West, taking on sales leadership roles at the Holiday Inn Taunton and the Mercure Bridgwater, where I was part of the opening team. Today, I lead sales for three properties within the Cycas portfolio, with ibis Bridgwater as my main focus.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me running, my main passion. I’m an ultrarunner, which means tackling any distance over a marathon. My proudest recent achievement was completing the Lakeland 50 (yes, miles!) in 13 hours, one of the biggest events in the ultra-calendar. Next up is the Amsterdam Marathon in October, because I just can’t get enough. I also enjoy a gentler pace with the number one in my life, pup Dora, who’s proudly known as our ibis poster pooch.
I bring to the board specialist knowledge of the hospitality market, a passion for connecting local businesses, and insights into tourism, events, and customer trends that can help Sedgemoor thrive. I’m looking forward to sharing ideas, energy, and maybe even a few running stories along the way!
