SUMMARY:Mental Health Awareness for Line Managers training
DESCRIPTION:  \nOur member New Leaf are delivering their next Mental Health Awareness for Line Managers training on: \nThursday 20th May 2021. \nThis training aims to give line managers mental health awareness\, essential communication skills to handle difficult conversations\, and a broader understanding of how to promote a culture of wellbeing. \nThis One Day Course is independently evaluated for Continuing Professional Development purposes by The CPD Certification Service. This means our course complies with universally accepted principles of Continual Professional Development (CPD) and has been structured to meet the criteria of personal development plans. Participants receive a CPD Certification for attending. \nThe cost is £149 per delegate for a full day of training.   The training is delivered online and comprises a range of learning methods\, activities and discussion topics to encourage maximum engagement and benefit.  Delegates are provided with a Workbook and other practical tools and resources to use after the course has taken place. \nWe have been delivering this training since January 2020 and the feedback from line managers has been overwhelmingly positive:- \n\n93% said they would recommend this training to others;\n89% said that the training has increased their confidence in supporting someone who is mentally unwell at work;\n96% said that the training would be useful in their work;\n100% said that the trainers were knowledgeable and participation was encouraged;\n96% said the materials distributed were helpful.\n\nResponsibility for spotting the signs that employees may be struggling with their mental health often falls to line managers; this training provides the knowledge and tools to confidently manage such situations and know where to access support if needed. \nThe course is quality assured through CPD UK so delegate receive a certificate upon completion of the training. \nPlease note: we also run this course in-house for organisations that have 10-14 managers who can be trained in one session.

SUMMARY:Mental Health Awareness Training for Line Managers
DESCRIPTION:Line Managers are ideally positioned to make the biggest difference to mental health in the workplace\, but few managers know what to say or do when a colleague or team member discloses a mental health issue. \nEmployers have a responsibility to be proactive in developing positive mental health pathways. This should include training line managers to spot the early warning signs of mental health and provide them with the skills and confidence needed to intervene and have the supportive conversations necessary. \nTraining is part of the answer but should support an organisational culture of employee wellbeing.
