SUMMARY:Green for Growth - Online Session
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a FREE zoom session to discuss some of the practical steps your business can take to reduce your carbon footprint and Grow Greener \nWe’ll be joined by Jacqui Redman\, Training Coordinator at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions\, who will share some some of the steps Trelleborg have taken on their journey to Net Zero and answer your questions. \nThis session is intended to be conversational so please come along ready to share your experiences\, ideas and questions with other fellow businesses. \nWhen? Thursday 3rd November\, 11 to 12 \nWhere? Zoom. Please register with your e-mail address & a link will be sent to you before the event date. \nWhy? In June 2019\, the UK Government committed to reducing the UK’s net greenhouse gas emissions by at least 100% by 2050\, compared to 1990 levels. This target is known as net zero\, and milestones towards moving to a net zero emissions economy are now set down in UK law. By encouraging sectors\, industries\, organisations and individuals to work together in cutting carbon emissions\, the hope is that\, over the coming decades\, the UK can achieve its net zero ambitions and\, as a consequence\, help reduce global warming and the effects of climate change. Going green can boost your competitiveness\, lower costs\, and boost your business’s reputation with your customers and staff.

SMEs are the backbone of our economy\, it’s a sector bursting with talent\, entrepreneurship\, and potential. The focus will be on the following sectors: \n\nVisitor Economy\nArts and Entertainment\nConstruction\nHealth and social care\nFarming and Agriculture\n\nMany SMEs say that they struggle to access mental health provision due to the costs involved or they do not know what to buy to best support their employees. This workshop will provide a good introduction to Mental Health and equip you with a toolkit that you can start using in your business. You will be invited to implement 5 key aspects of wellbeing into your business. \nPutting well-being at the heart of workplace design will allow us to grow a new world of work where we can look after our well-being and engage in this new economy and feel well in our being. \nWe are pleased to announce that our course has been independently evaluated for Continuing Professional Development purposes by The CPD Certification Service. This means our course complies with universally accepted principles of Continual Professional Development (CPD) and has been structured to meet the criteria of personal development plans. You will be asked to complete a pre and post course questionnaire in order to attend the training. \nNote: Participants need to attend all three hours to receive their CPD UK Certification. \nFeedback from previous attendees \nLaura O’Driscoll: \n‘To see a change we all have to BE the change. We can now embrace mental health and wellbeing into our businesses and support ourselves and our employees. For me that means educating myself\, putting into practise what I have learnt for my own business and helping my clients understand it too’. \nJuliet Love: \n“Thank you both for a really great session – I thoroughly enjoyed it and am really looking forward to the 2 day workshop when it happens.” \nSue Calvert: \n“Thank you for such an informative session – I have learnt so much but am not overwhelmed as the workshop was nicely paced and interactive. I will be able to use what I have learned in both a work and non-work setting.” \nTo watch a short clip from Becky with information about the course: \nCLICK HERE
